How Is Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage therapy and Manual Osteopathic Therapy Different at Move To Move ?
We believe in individualized treatment regimens for every patient at MOVE TO MOVE.
We ditch the one-size-fits-all approach! At Move To Move, your therapist gets to know you and your injury. They’ll ask about your medical history and watch you move and perform objective tests to understand the root of the problem. Then, they’ll build a custom treatment plan that might include hands-on therapy and exercises to help you move with more ease and strength.
MOVE TO MOVE offers a comprehensive suite of rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, and manual osteopathic therapy. These services are provided by a team of experienced professionals who take a patient-centered and team approach, tailoring treatment plans to address individual needs and goals.
Do I Need A Doctor’S Referral Or Prescription To See A Therapist Or Attend A Class?
No, you do not need a referral from your doctor before you see a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist or Manual Osteopathic Therapist. However, some insurance companies require a referral from your doctor to receive reimbursement for your treatment. Please check with your insurance provider to determine their requirements.
If you have any medical conditions, we advise getting the ‘Okay’ from your doctor before attending classes.
How Long Will My Appointment Be?
MOVE TO MOVE therapist’s only book 1-on-1 appointments so if you book an appointment, you will have the therapist for that block of time.
If you are coming in for an assessment, please come in 5 minutes early to complete some medical information forms.
Your specific needs will determine the number of visits and the duration of your plan of care. As you and your therapist have discussed, we recommend attending more frequently in the early stages of your therapy to ensure you progress.
What Should I Wear To My Appointment?
Wear something comfortable and easy to move in. Wear something that will allow your therapist easy access to the area being treated. If your shoulder or neck is being worked on then a tank tops or sports bras works best. If you are having your low back, hips or knees worked on then shorts are ideal.

I’Ve Been In A Motor Vehicle Accident (Mva). What Should I Do?
- Call your insurance company
- Book a physiotherapy appointment
It’s important to know that even the mildest accidents can lead to injuries, and that these injuries may not show symptoms right away but can lead to significant pain, discomfort, and loss of function at later times.
In Alberta, you can start your physiotherapy treatment even before you see your family doctor, and it is very likely that your treatment will be covered by your car insurance. All persons involved in an accident, both drivers and passengers, are eligible for treatment under the Motor Vehicle Act.
At MOVE TO MOVE, our therapists have a deep knowledge of the MVA injuries and most effective treatments for resolving them.
During your first visit you will be assessed and treated, and the proper reporting will be sent to your insurance company. Treatments for MVA are billed directly to your insurance company. Your therapist will communicate with your claims officer to ensure you get the treatments you need to recover fully.
Does Move To Move accept WCB claims?
We have an active contract to provide physiotherapy services for WCB (workers compensation board) claims.
Is Move To Move Contracted By Alberta Health Services?
We currently do not have a contract with Alberta Health Services for their Allied Health Services programs for treating post-operative, fracture and low-income or seniors.
What if I need to cancel my therapy appointment?

- Cancellations made on the same day of your appointment: We understand emergencies happen, but please let us know as soon as possible. A cancellation fee may apply, equivalent to 50% of the session cost. In addition, if it becomes a habit, this fee will increase to 100% of your session cost.
- No-shows: If you miss your appointment without giving us any heads-up, we’ll miss you! Please, save us the detective work and let us know if you can’t make it. If we do not hear from you, a no-show fee equivalent to the full session cost will be charged.
