DR. VANESSA WRAY
(Chiropractor)
DC, BSc., Dry Needling/Clinical Acupuncture with Acupuncture Canada
Growing up in Calgary, I developed a deep passion for sports, particularly softball and snowboarding. While these pursuits brought immense joy, they also came with their share of injuries. Seeking relief, I experienced firsthand the transformative power of chiropractic care. Witnessing my own recovery ignited a desire to help others overcome their physical limitations and achieve optimal health.
Driven by this passion, I began my academic journey at the University of Calgary where I studied Kinesiology. Subsequently, I relocated to Portland, Oregon, where I graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Chiropractic Studies from the University of Western States (UWS). During my time at UWS, I also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, further solidifying my foundation in human anatomy and physiology.
My clinical practice reflects a holistic approach to patient care. I work with individuals of all ages and activity levels, tailoring treatment plans that may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapies, dry needling/clinical acupuncture, and functional exercises. My primary goal is to empower my patients to return to their desired activities and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle throughout their recovery and beyond.
During my time in Portland, I developed a deep love for rock climbing, embracing all its facets from indoor bouldering to outdoor lead climbing. This personal experience fuels my passion for working with fellow climbers to overcome their climbing-related injuries.
While I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, I have a special interest in addressing head and neck pain, particularly TMJ/jaw dysfunction. I believe in a collaborative approach to patient care and find it rewarding to work with a number of dentists to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment outcomes for all our patients.
