Ashley Dalliday
(Pilates Teacher)
I have been fortunate to spend my life doing what I love. My journey began as a competitive Highland dancer, a passion I pursued for 15 years. I performed with a Scottish dance troupe and competed internationally. My passion for dance led me to earn my Associate Teaching Degree with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, after which I spent five years coaching competitive dancers.
One of my dance instructors recommended the disciplines of Pilates and Yoga to help strengthen and lengthen my body. I was immediately inspired by the increased body awareness, physical strength, and mental balance they cultivated. This sparked my passion to help others discover what a consistent movement practice can achieve.
Today, I specialize in creating safe, challenging, and energizing programs that help clients achieve their individual fitness and wellness goals.
Recently I have stepped into the role of teacher trainer with Junction 9 studio and help facilitate the Pilates Teacher Trainer program over the last two years.
My certifications include STOTT Pilates (Mat, Reformer, Chair, Spine corrector and barrels, Cadillac, ZEN•GA®, Injuries & Special Populations), Yoga Alliance Hatha and Meditation (250-hour YTT with Define Yoga), TRX Group Fitness, Surfset, AFLCA Exercise theory, Portable Equipment and Spin Instruction, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and 150hr O2 Collective training on breathing work with Dan Brule.
Aside from teaching pilates I am also a practicing independent registered dental hygienist, certified dental assistant and massage therapist.
My lifelong commitment to expanding my expertise through workshops and education, ensures my classes remain fresh, engaging, versatile, and effective.
The most rewarding part of this work is building meaningful relationships with my clients, supporting them as they grow stronger, healthier, more confident, often surpassing their own goals. This inspires me everyday.
